What’s been feeding my creative soul lately...

Spoiler alert: it hasn’t always been art supplies, but it’s still been magic.
Hey Lovely ,
You know what’s been creatively feeding me lately? Not just paint and paper — but life itself. The small, quiet joys. The kind that sneak up on you when you're not even trying.
The scent of my morning coffee while the house is still quiet.
(The aroma from a freshly opened bag never fails to make me breathe deeper and smile — it’s like instant comfort.)Finding a velvet green dress in a thrift shop that felt like it was waiting just for me.
(It totally gave me Bridgerton vibes and reminded me just how much the sets and costumes from that show inspire me!)Getting completely lost in a fantasy show and realizing I want to draw half the characters.
(I felt this way after watching Season 3 of Stranger Things — I know, a little weird, but I seriously LOVE that show!)Rearranging a shelf and suddenly seeing an object differently — like that could be the start of something.
(This happens almost every time I clean or shift things around in my art studio. It’s like rearranging sparks fresh ideas.)
This kind of nourishment feels just as important as any art supply I own.
If you’re in a season where you’re not making as much art as you’d like — that’s okay. You're still feeding your creativity when you explore, notice, rest, or follow a random spark of interest.
This week, I want to invite you to do something gentle, simple, and creatively open-ended — with a little help from the three printable pages I made just for you. 💛
👉 Choose the one that fits your mood (or try them all!):
Jot down a list of five things that inspired or delighted you
Doodle or collage your favorite moments inside the silhouette
Or slow it way down with some quiet reflection and a soft place to sketch or write
There’s no wrong way to do this. Just let yourself notice, collect, and enjoy what’s been lighting you up — without any pressure to turn it into a “thing.” Sometimes, the noticing is the art.
They're simple, sweet, and ready for whatever your creative brain wants to throw at it — a doodle, a word, a smudge, or a sticker. Download it, print it out, and make it yours.
Because when you start to notice what lights you up, you’ll begin to carry that into everything you create.
Happy ARTing,
xo, Jen
